Introduction ( CV)
Born 1957 in Martonos, formerly Yugoslavia, now north Serbia, Vojvodina Education: Kanjiza ( Primary school) and Novi Sad ( Bogdan Šuput Secondary School of Fine Technicians). 1981 graduated from Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts Faculty, as a painter. I studied under professor Paul Gerzson.
1986-87. Awarded eight month scholarship to study art in France. Moved to Paris, where I worked in a studio at the Cité Internationale des Arts. 1987 commenced graphic studies at "Atelier 63" and continued on to the renowned Atelier 17 ", where I worked alongside S.W.Hayter, the Paris master. I exhibited my paintings and graphics at the Bernanos gallery in Paris, in 1987.
After this I settled in Subotica (Vojvodina), but after a few years I was obliged to move to Budapest (Hungary). After eleven years here, my wife and I moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, where I now live. In June 2007, I was given a 3-month scholarship to work in China as the resident artist at the Nordica Gallery in Kunming City. I worked with traditional Chinese colours on rice paper, and painted on silk.
As an artist, colour, line, such as arabesque (gestual line) and texture, are my essentials.
In 1992 I started to use the circle as a basic element. I paint with all kinds of material. As a graphic artist I frequently work with viscosity print.
I begun as a figurative artist, and then, in Paris, I developed into an abstract artist.
Recently, I have been working with re-figurative images.
